Broad Peak Expedition

The Broad Peak Expedition is a challenging and exciting journey to climb one of the world's highest mountains. To conquer this peak, you need strong climbing skills and previous experience on high mountains.

Broad Peak is also known as 'Falchan Kangri' due to its massive size. It stands near K2 and is one of the tallest mountains in the Karakoram range.

The expedition typically lasts 60-72 days, but it can vary based on your experience and weather conditions. It all starts at Islamabad International Airport, where you'll be welcomed and taken to your hotel in Islamabad for some rest. There, you'll receive a briefing about the expedition.

The next day, you'll take a breathtaking 45-minute flight to Skardu, where you can see stunning Himalayan and Karakoram peaks like Nanga Parbat and K2. After reaching your hotel in Skardu, you'll have time to prepare for the expedition.

Skardu is the gateway to many famous peaks, and it's where trekkers and climbers stock up on supplies. From there, you'll embark on a journey by Jeep along rivers like the Indus, Shigar, and Braldu to reach Askoli, the last village before the wilderness of the Karakoram.

Our expedition truly begins from Askoli. Over the next few days, you'll hike through beautiful landscapes, including Braldu Gorge and the Baltoro Glacier, until you reach Concordia and the Base Camp of Broad Peak.

At the Base Camp, you'll have the support of guides, a chef, and a dedicated team throughout your climb. After successfully reaching the summit of Broad Peak, you'll follow the same route back to Islamabad. Your trip concludes with one last night in Islamabad before heading home from Islamabad International Airport.

K2 Trekking Packages

Apart from the Broad Peak Expedition in Pakistan, we also provide various K2 Trekking Packages and their respective costs. K2 trekking is highly regarded as one of the top-rated trips to the Karakoram region in Pakistan.

Climbing and Trekking Permits:
When you've chosen the mountain you intend to climb, we initiate the preparations and submit permit applications as required. For peaks exceeding 6,500 meters, a climbing permit is necessary, and for specific regions, including the Central Karakoram National Park (CKNP), a trekking permit is essential. Our team possesses comprehensive knowledge of peak details, permit fees, and the regulations governing climbing in Pakistan. We handle the permit process, allowing you to concentrate on your climbing endeavors.

Royalty Fees:
Annually, the Gilgit-Baltistan Council releases official royalty fee schedules for the upcoming summer and winter climbing seasons. These schedules specify fees for mountain climbing, trekking, and waste disposal in various areas and seasons. To secure the necessary permits, we require an initial deposit from you. It's important to note that royalty fees for the Broad Peak Expedition are remitted to the Gilgit-Baltistan Government and are non-refundable. If you seek further information, please reach out to us.

Government Clearance:
For your Broad Peak expedition, we need comprehensive details about all expedition members to obtain government clearance for your climbing permit. While additional members can be added or replaced later if necessary, it is advisable to submit all information well in advance to avert potential delays at the expedition's outset. We recommend applying no later than three months in advance, as we have observed that the clearance process is progressively taking more time each year.

Cancellation Policy:
Should you need to cancel your expedition or opt to reschedule your journey, the royalty fee will not be transferable to a future trip nor eligible for a refund. Refunds of the royalty fee only occur if the government revokes a permit for specific reasons. As for expenses associated with our services, partial refunds will be issued in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
