K2 Basecamp Trek (Trek only - 14 days)
Trekkers' most popular trekking vacation is the K2 basecamp trek. It offers one of the rarest and most breathtaking views of the world's tallest mountains, the Great Baltoro Glacier in the Karakorum Range.
This itinerary has been painstakingly designed and planned for individuals who would rather handle their own travel arrangements in Skardu and Islamabad while using Imagine Karakorum Tours only for our trekking services. We pick you up at your Skardu hotel and leave you off at the same location at the end of your trip. Individuals who choose to utilize this Skardu-to-Skardu service will be incorporated into the same cohort as those who arrive from Islamabad, all of whom have commenced the exciting 20-day K2 Base Camp journey.
The K2 Base Camp trek, also known as the Baltoro Glacier Trek or the Baltoro Concordia Trek, stands as one of the planet's most renowned mountain journeys. Situated in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, this adventure is an arduous and demanding feat that encompasses both trekking and hiking along the Baltoro Glacier, ranking as the fifth longest glacier globally, spanning over 63 kilometers, as well as the Godwin Austin Glacier.
The trek to K2 Base Camp provides an unparalleled chance to witness the breathtaking views of the northern mountains. You will be rewarded with breath-taking views of imposing peaks at elevations between 5,000 and 8,000 meters during this walk. Gasherbrum 2 (8,035 m), K2, the second-highest peak in the world at 8,611 m, Broad Peak, Masherbrum, Gasherbrum 3, Gasherbrum 4, Uli Biaho, Urdukas Peak, Mustagh Tower, Crystal Peak, Trango Towers, Biale Peak, Mitre Peak, Lobsang Spire, Marbel Peak, and Cathedral Peak are a few of these magnificent peaks.

Dates & Pricing – K2 Base Camp Trek (14 days)
The dates indicated in the table below signify your arrival in Skardu and your departure from the trek. It's optimal for groups arriving from Islamabad to align their arrival dates with these. In case a morning flight is canceled, they will embark on a two-day journey by road, traveling via the Karakoram Highway from Islamabad airport and reaching Skardu the following day. This may also influence the concluding date of the trek. The decision to travel by road acts as a dependable contingency plan, avoiding potential delays in securing a flight on the subsequent day. Please be aware that Imagine Karakorum Tours cannot assume responsibility for any costs incurred by travelers in Skardu before the trek's commencement, including expenses related to accommodation and meals, which may result from flight cancellations or other unforeseen circumstances. Likewise, any extra expenditures following your arrival in Skardu will not be covered. To ensure comprehensive coverage in such scenarios, we recommend considering our 20-day K2 Base Camp trek.

Details Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Jula/Mongron Camp
Your adventure begins with a thrilling drive to Jula/Mongron Camp. As you leave behind the comforts of urban life, you'll gradually immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of the Karakoram Mountains. The drive offers a glimpse of the changing landscapes as you approach the campsite, where you'll set up your base for the days to come.
Day 2: Trek to Paju Camp
The second day kicks off with an invigorating trek that takes you deeper into the heart of the Karakoram. The trail winds through rocky terrain, offering stunning views of snow-capped peaks. You'll reach Paju Camp, a place where the isolation and sheer natural beauty make you feel like you're in a different world.
Previously, our K2 Concordia Trek began at Askoli Village. However, with a newly constructed road to Paju camp, participants can now reach Jula or Mongron Camp by jeep. The trek kicks off early in the morning, taking about five or six hours to reach Paju camp. As we'll cross streams on the way, it's important to prepare for stream crossings. We'll arrive at our destination by around noon and camp overnight at Paju camp.
Day 3: Trek to Khobusre Camp
On this leg of the K2 Concordia Trek, we'll begin by trekking along the 65km Baltoro Glacier, which accompanies us until Concordia, where it meets the Godwin Austin Glacier. About thirty minutes from Paju camp, we'll reach the snout of the Baltoro Glacier, offering views of the Trango Towers, Uli Baiho, and Paju Peak. The path ahead on the Baltoro glacier involves ups and downs. Caution is advised when encountering horses or donkeys on the trail—let them pass safely. After trekking for 4 to 5 hours, we'll reach Liligo, where we'll have lunch with a view of the Trango Towers. We'll continue our walk towards the Khoburse camp, situated along the right edge of the Baltoro Glacier, where we'll camp overnight.
Day 4: Trek to Urdukas Camp
We'll begin our trek to Urdukas Camp after an early breakfast, navigating the challenging terrain of the Baltoro Glacier. This camp marks the final stop before the glacial camps on the Baltoro Glacier and is the shortest day of the K2 Concordia Trek along the glacier. Positioned at a higher elevation above the Baltoro Glacier, Urdukas Camp offers the most spectacular views of Granite spires like Trango, Uli Biaho, and Cathedrals. It's the second picturesque camp during the K2 trek, following Concordia camp. Clear weather might even grant a glimpse of Gasherbrum 4 from Urdukas Camp.
Day 5: Trek to Goro II Camp
Your trek leads you to Goro II Camp, where the magnificence of the Karakoram reaches its zenith. The landscape is dominated by enormous peaks, and the sense of scale is both humbling and inspiring. You'll set up camp in the shadow of these giants.
Day 6: Reaching Concordia
Concordia, your destination for the day, is aptly named as it feels like a crossroads of giants. Here, K2 and a host of other majestic peaks are in full view, creating a surreal panorama. The sense of being in the heart of the Karakoram is palpable.
Day 7: Broad Peak Base Camp and K2 Base Camp
This is a remarkable day as you trek to both Broad Peak Base Camp and K2 Base Camp. The Gilkey Memorial at K2 Base Camp serves as a reminder of the mountaineering history of the region. The sheer scale and majesty of K2 and Broad Peak are awe-inspiring.

As you approach the campsite, you'll be reminded of the stunning beauty that initially captivated you.
Day 11: Trek to Paju Camp
Your trek continues as you make your way to Paju Camp. While you cover ground you've already traversed, the journey never feels the same twice. The mountains, though constant, seem to reveal new facets of their grandeur with each passing day.
