K2, also known as Mount Godwin-Austen, stands as the second-highest peak in the world after Mount Everest, towering at an elevation of 8,611 meters (28,251 feet) above sea level. Situated in the Karakoram Range along the Pakistan-China border, K2 is renowned among mountaineers for its challenging and treacherous ascent. Its formidable reputation earned it the nickname "Savage Mountain" due to the difficulty and danger involved in reaching its summit. The unpredictable weather, steep slopes, and technical complexities make K2 an incredibly demanding and hazardous climb, attracting experienced climbers seeking the ultimate test of their mountaineering skills.

K2 Base Camp serves as the starting point for treks and expeditions aiming to conquer the mighty peak. Nestled at around 5,150 meters (16,900 feet) amidst awe-inspiring scenery, the base camp offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding jagged peaks and glaciers. Trekkers embark on a challenging journey through rugged terrain, crossing glacial streams and rocky paths, while soaking in the sheer grandeur of the Karakoram Range. Most international flights land either at midnight or in the afternoon. Please share your flight details, both when you're arriving and departing from Pakistan, at least five days before you arrive. Our staff or guide will be waiting for you at the international arrivals gate, unless you're taking a connecting flight from another Pakistani city.

At the hotel, after having lunch and some rest, if you arrive between 9 am and 12 pm, our guide or representative will pick up everyone around 6 pm. We'll have a briefing session at our office, where you can make any remaining payments. Then, we'll all have dinner together. If you arrive later, we'll take care of payments and the briefing in Skardu.

Accommodation: Twin-sharing room .

Meal: Breakfast, lunch and dinner + tea/coffee

Day 2:

Those joining us in the morning will experience a breathtaking flight from Islamabad airport to Skardu airport. If the weather  are clear, you'll have a chance to witness the majestic sight of Nanga Parbat during the journey. Once you land in Skardu, the remainder of the day is free for you to explore or relax at your leisure.

Accommodation:  Will be provided in a twin-sharing room at booking hotel.

Meal: Breakfast, lunch and dinner + tea/coffee

Day 3:

Following breakfast, participants will take a walk to Kharpocho Fort in Skardu, situated atop a mountain. This fort offers a splendid view of both the Indus River and Skardu town. Participants also have the choice to visit Sadpara Lake or spend some free time shopping in Skardu Bazaar.

While sightseeing, our staff will handle additional paperwork required by the government in Skardu. Sometimes, this process may take up to two days. We've set aside extra days towards the end of the trek in case there are any delays.

Accommodation: Twin-sharing room at booking hotel.

Meal: Breakfast, lunch and dinner + tea/coffee

Day 4:

The travelers will start a jeep ride to Daso, passing through the scenic Shigar valley. This ride runs along the Braldu river and leads to Askole, which marks the final village on our path. After reaching Askole, participants will continue the journey on foot, leaving the jeeps behind. Sometimes, depending on the road conditions, the walking may start before reaching Askole. Typically, it'll take around six to eight hours to cover this distance.

Accommodation: Camping in twin-sharing dome tent.

Meal: Breakfast, lunch and dinner + snacks.

Day 5:

After organizing the required supplies and gear, the porters will prepare for the journey to Jhola. The vast Biafo glacier, which stretches more than fifty kilometers from Hispar La to Braldu, is accessible from this valley. Trekkers will make their way down to a location by the Korofon river for lunch after navigating the moraine and crossing the glacier's snout.

We will reach the confluence of the Braldu and Domordo rivers by following the path. We'll go upstream and take a newer route rather than the conventional one. Here, participants can cross the river using a bridge. After crossing, they will go down to the brink of the Braldu river and follow its bank till they arrive at the Jhola campground.

Day 6:

Trekkers will follow the Braldu gorge and walk alongside the Braldu river on this portion of the K2 base camp climb. They'll be treated to breathtaking vistas of Cathedral Peak and the amazing Trango Tower. Because of the dry and hot walking conditions, it's vital to wear protective clothing to avoid sunburns.

Several glacier streams run into the valley; depending on the water level, these streams occasionally require the use of river crossing shoes. Trekkers may be able to see the nose of the Baltoro Glacier if the weather is clear. The final campsite with trees for the day is Paiju, which is reached by climbing away from the river.

Day 7:

For recuperation and acclimatization, the participants will spend the day at Paiju Camp. But the porters will take their time making bread for themselves to eat on the glacier the next week. On this day, an acclimatization walk toward Paiju Peak base camp is also possible.

Day 8:

Walking on this day will be difficult, but as you get closer to the Baltoro Glacier's snout, the landscape will get even more breathtaking. The trail is rather safe, however it is advised to use caution at all times due to its continual up-and-down climbs on the glacier moraine. As they proceed, the participants will be treated to breathtaking vistas of Uli Biaho and Trango Tower. It is necessary for the participants to cross the glacier to get to Liligo. From here, the trekkers will travel down a rough road that skirts the Baltoro, occasionally leading to Khoburtse, the glacier's edge where camp will be set.

Day 9:

Cross small glaciers and walk to Urdukus - Navigate small glaciers on your way to the Urdukus campsite, showcasing the rugged beauty of the Karakoram.

It takes some time to see Trango Towers after passing two tiny glaciers. The participants will stop the next night at Urdukas, which is close to the army camp. Ten meters above the glacier is the camp.

Day 10:

Trek to Goro II, the junction of the Baltoro glaciers and Young husband - Arrive at Goro II, a significant junction on the Baltoro Glacier, offering stunning vistas.

The participants in our K2 base camp trek will be traveling through the heart of the glacier on this particular day. We will follow the medial moraine, with views of Masherbrum (7821m) to our south. The athletes will traverse large ice seracs as they advance along the rocky moraine, rising and descending.

At Goro II, the meeting point of Baltoro Glacier and Younghusband, this will be the first overnight camp on the glacier. There could be a sharp drop in temperature. For the viewing, Masherbrum and Muztagh Tower will be exposed.

Day 11:

Trek to Concordia through a rocky moraine - The trail leads to Concordia, often described as the "Throne Room of the Mountain Gods," a place of incredible mountain views.

The conclusion of the K2 base camp journey will be reached on this day when participants finally arrive at Concordia after traveling steadily up the moraine. Along the way, an increasing number of high snowcapped peaks will appear. Broad Peak, Mitre Peak, Gasherbrum, Sia Kangri, and numerous other summits are visible.

Day 12:

Trek to Broad Peak BC, Gilkey Memorial, and K2 Base Camp - Explore the iconic Broad Peak Base Camp, Gilkey Memorial, and the legendary K2 Base Camp. Today, there's a chance to hike up the Godwin-Austen glacier to the memorial of American mountaineer and geologist Art Gilkey, which is located right before K2 Base Camp. It's a wonderful day. We will depart early in the morning, making our way over the glaciers and onto the slender track that leads to K2 (a weak, rocky trail runs the entire distance). It appears as though the mountain is getting bigger and bigger as we follow the glacier towards K2. After about three hours, we pass Broad Peak base camp and Broad Peak rears up to our right. After our normal lunch break, we continue on our way closer and closer to K2, which is looming over us.
